Word on the Street - June 2007
Group exhibition celebrating word, text and narrative. Organised by Farnham Maltings.

Part of the annual Festival Of Words, June 2007 saw an exhibition in the shops and businesses of Farnham of works that explored text, story and or narrative. Gemma's three specially created works of the Farnham were on show in the Museum of Farnham.

In these most recent works she takes inspiration from around Farnham town centre, focusing on important public buildings including the very museum her work is situated in. In these works the skies aren't clear blue, they are ominous and brooding. There are tigers being walked outside Cafe Rouge and men leaving St Andrews church carrying swords. Things aren't what they seem, look closer you might find other strange additions to the scenes.
